Ashton Jeanty loses most of his rushing work in Week 8

Las Vegas Raiders RB Ashton Jeanty carried two times for nine yards but caught three passes for 64 yards in Week 8 against the New York Jets.

Why It Matters: Jeanty was bypassed in the run game in favor of rookie Mike Washington Jr. but took a screen pass 45 yards to set up the go-ahead score in the fourth quarter. Entering this game, Jeanty had 328 rush yards on 3.1 yards per attempt, with just one rushing score. In his last three games, he has rushed for 64 yards on 28 carries but has 15 receptions for 147 yards with a TD. Perhaps the Raiders are starting to transition Jeanty into more of the pass game, especially since Washington has been outperforming him in the run game. That said, Washington wasn't able to take advantage of his 25 carries in this one. Managers will have to monitor his status with the Las Vegas offense going forward, and he may need to drop from fantasy RB1 status. He'll be a dicey start in Week 9 against the 49ers.
