Midway through the 2026 NFL season, injuries are stacking up for teams around the league, meaning some franchises are having to bring in street free agents to fill some holes on their roster and practice squad.
On Thursday, former Miami Dolphins cornerback Kader Kohou signed a deal to join the Buffalo Bills practice squad, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Kohou, 27, played at Texas A&M-Commerce from 2016-21 before joining the Dolphins as an undrafted free agent in 2022. He missed all of the 2025 season due to a torn ACL, but over his first three years, he appeared in 47 games and recorded 180 tackles, 28 passes defensed, five quarterback hits, three interceptions, two forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries and a sack.
This offseason, Kohou joined the Kansas City Chiefs on a one-year contract. While he failed to make the roster out of camp, they signed him to their practice squad before Week 1. Kansas City released him on Monday, but it didn't take him long to find a new team.
The Dolphins still have two games against the Bills on their schedule, so there's a chance that Miami has to face their former cornerback if he's elevated or promoted to the roster.
