Arsenal remain keen on adding another centre-forward to their ranks, after failing to get a deal for Atletico Madrid star Julian Alvarez over the line during the summer transfer window.
Despite missing out on Alvarez, Mikel Arteta remains well-stocked at striker, with Viktor Gyokeres and Kai Havertz available, and the latter scored the only goal in the 1-0 victory against Liverpool on Sunday.
The Gunners put down a marker by picking up their first Premier League victory at Anfield since 2012, and with Havertz getting on the scoresheet, he became the most prolific German goalscorer in top flight history.

The 27-year-old has four goals to his name in 14 appearances across all competitions this season, and Arteta has praised his centre-forward for the other contributions he makes, saying: "He understands everything at such a speed, and he can process information better than probably anybody else in the team. And that's something not easy to see, especially when we talk about a striker."
However, despite Havertz reaching a major milestone courtesy of his goal at Anfield, the north Londoners remain keen on signing a new striker.
According to a report from Football Insider, AFC Bournemouth striker Eli Junior Kroupi has been identified as Arsenal's top striker target ahead of the January transfer window, but they are facing rival interest from Paris Saint-Germain.
Consequently, in order to steal a march on the French heavyweights, the Gunners may need to make a move this winter, but it could be tricky to tempt the Cherries into a sale, as they have no interest in sanctioning a departure.
Should Arteta's side be able to win the race for the 20-year-old, Thierry Henry may be a happy man, given that he has praised him compatriot in the past, saying: “He’s been proving that he’s a great goalscorer, I told you [Jamie Carragher], very Jermain Defoe-like when he’s in the box. He can play on the right, he can play on the left, he’s been used on the left. But he has an eye for a goal. He has a good future.”
Journalist Arya has also lauded the Frenchman for his "unbelievable" finishing, and he scored 13 goals in 33 Premier League appearances last season, in what was his debut campaign.
Kroupi has since been out with a foot injury, but he is now back available for selection, and grabbed an assist in the Cherries' 2-0 victory against Leeds United last time out.
As such, Kroupi, who has been valued at £80m, could be a fantastic long-term signing for Arsenal, but it could be difficult to compete for Havertz's starting spot if he continues to perform like he did at Anfield.
