Eagles, Giants bringing back classic uniforms for Week 9

The Eagles will wear their Kelly Green jerseys, featuring the classic white numbers and black trim associated with some of the franchise's most recognizable teams. The throwback combination also includes the Kelly Green helmet with silver wings and silver pants.

The uniforms pay tribute to the era of Randall Cunningham, Reggie White, and other franchise legends who wore the colors during the late 1980s and early 1990s.

Philadelphia originally announced its plans to wear Kelly Green against the Giants on Sept. 2, with New York also planning to wear its vintage white throwback uniforms. The Giants' look features white jerseys with blue numbers outlined in red, white pants, and navy helmets displaying the classic GIANTS wordmark.

The throwback matchup will recreate one of the NFC East's most recognizable rivalries, bringing back uniform combinations tied to memorable battles between Philadelphia and New York.

Sunday's matchup will be the first of two appearances for the Eagles' Kelly Green uniforms this season.

Philadelphia previously released its complete alternate uniform schedule, confirming that the throwbacks will also be worn against the Houston Texans on Thursday, Dec. 24, in Week 16. The Eagles are scheduled to wear their all-black alternate uniforms against the Seattle Seahawks on Saturday, Dec. 19, in Week 15.

For now, the focus is on Sunday's matchup against the Giants, as Philadelphia tries to snap a six-game losing streak and regain momentum during a disappointing season.
