The 2026 NFL trade deadline is Nov. 10 at 4:00 PM ET, and there are a few Indianapolis Colts players who could end up elsewhere this season.
One of those players could be wide receiver Josh Downs, based on recent reports.
Between now and the official trade deadline, we will be tracking the latest rumors and reports surrounding Downs.
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter and the NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the Colts have "told other teams that they already have received an offer of a fourth-round pick for wide receiver Josh Downs."
After the Colts traded Quenton Nelson and DeForest Buckner prior to Week 8, it was reported that Downs had requested a trade. This past week, he discussed that decision.
"Like I said, this is the team that drafted me, and I’m on contract. So, I’m here right now and I gotta focus on that.” via The Athletic's James Boyd on X.
NFL insider Jordan Schultz highlighted three teams that could pursue Downs:
"I would say keep an eye on the Steelers, Chiefs, and Commanders, among others, and then don't be surprised if other teams we haven't even considered yet, because he's valuable and he's set to become a free agent," Schultz said.
Adam Schefter shared last week what the Colts are looking to get if they do end up trading the fourth-year wideout.
"If there is a position to watch, it would be wide receiver. There are a lot of wide receivers out there whose names are being mentioned before the trade deadline. The Colts want a third-round draft pick back for Josh Downs."
