If the Denver Broncos want to acquire a running back ahead of the NFL trade deadline, they might be running out of options.
The New York Jets have told NFL teams they "don’t intend to trade" Breece Hall, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Meanwhile, Schefter has also reported the Tennessee Titans won't trade Tony Pollard, the Baltimore Ravens won't trade Derrick Henry and the Philadelphia Eagles won't trade Saquon Barkley.
Assuming that's accurate information and the teams aren't just posturing in hopes of receiving bigger offers, that's four big-name running backs who aren't available on the trade market. However, Jonathan Taylor of the Indianapolis Colts remains a big name to watch leading up to Tuesday's trade deadline.
NFL insider Jordan Schultz reported Sunday that the belief around the NFL is that the Colts "will likely end up keeping" Taylor unless they receive "an offer too good to turn down." It remains to be seen what "too good to turn down" would be.
Jay Glazer of Fox Sports reported Sunday that the New York Giants had offered second- and fifth-round picks in exchange for Taylor, but New York has since taken that offer off the table. Other teams that have been linked to Taylor include the Broncos, Minnesota Vikings, Green Bay Packers and Seattle Seahawks.
The NFL's trade deadline is 4:00 p.m. ET (2:00 p.m. MT) on Tuesday, Nov. 10. We'll have coverage of all of Denver's latest news and rumors leading up to the trade deadline on Broncos Wire.
