Zidane pleased and optimistic after four Nations League matches
France are battling for a place in the Nations League quarter-finals as they gear up for two crucial fixtures: a trip to face Italy followed by a home encounter against Turkey. Ahead of the pivotal double-header, the head coach has officially confirmed his squad.
A notable contingent of six Serie A players has been selected: Inter duo Andy Diouf and Marcus Thuram, Como's Lucas Da Cunha, AC Milan pair Adrien Rabiot and Mike Maignan, alongside Juventus defender Pierre Kalulu.
There are also notable absentees: France will have to cope without several players sidelined through fitness issues. Ousmane Dembele, Akliouche, Jules Kounde, Maxence Lacroix, Esteban Lepaul, Manu Kone, and William Saliba have all been left off the list.
Goalkeepers: Mike Maignan, Restes, Risser.
Defenders: Diouf, Malo Gusto, Jacquet, Kalulu, Konate, Truffert, Dayot Upamecano, Leny Yoro.
Midfielders: Eduardo Camavinga, Cherki, Da Cunha, Rabiot, Aurelien Tchouameni, Warren Zaire-Emery.
Forwards: Bradley Barcola, Desire Doue, Kylian Mbappe, Michael Olise, Pablo Pagis, Marcus Thuram.
