Scheierman (rest) isn't expected to play in Friday's preseason finale against the 76ers, Sean Grande of NBC Sports Boston reports.
Scheierman and the rest of Boston's regulars won't be available for the final exhibition but should be good to go for the regular-season opener against the Pistons on Tuesday. Scheierman's competing for a starting spot with Jordan Walsh, Sam Hauser and others.
