Paris Saint-Germain defeated Barcelona 4-2 in a dramatic Champions League thriller at the Parc des Princes.

Désiré Doué opened the scoring in the 38th minute after a Barcelona error.

Xavi Espart equalised in the 55th minute on his full Champions League debut.

Lucas Hernández restored PSG’s lead with a header in the 72nd minute, before Lamine Yamal levelled again with a superb solo effort in the 79th.

Vitinha then struck late in the 81st minute, and Fabian Ruiz added another to secure the win for the hosts in a high-quality, end-to-end contest.

Here are the Barcelona player ratings:

Joan Garcia (8.5/10)

Made several important saves to keep Barcelona in the game against a barrage of PSG shots.

Could do little about either goal but overall looked assured and confident with his distribution.

Xavi Espart (8/10)

Scored a superb equaliser on his Champions League debut with a powerful finish.

Defended solidly for long periods and showed great attacking intent down the flank.

Pau Cubarsí (7/10)

Faced constant pressure from PSG’s attackers and was stretched at times.

Won some important duels but the defence as a unit struggled to contain the hosts’ intensity.

Gerard Martín (7/10)

Put in a hard-working shift and tried to support the attack when possible.

Occasionally caught out positionally as PSG overloaded the flanks.

João Cancelo (7.5/10)

Looked shaky defensively and was caught out in transitions.

Offered little going forward compared to his usual standards.

Marc Bernal (7/10)

Filled in for the absent Rodri and competed well in midfield battles.

Struggled to dictate tempo against PSG’s energetic midfield.

Pedri (8/10)

Tried to link play and create openings with his usual vision.

Worked tirelessly but was somewhat stifled by PSG’s press.

Dani Olmo (5.5/10)

Failed to make a significant impact before being substituted early.

Struggled to find space and influence the game in the final third.

Lamine Yamal (8/10)

His loose pass contributed to PSG’s opener, a costly error.

Still showed flashes of quality and created a few dangerous moments later.

Anthony Gordon (7/10)

Worked hard up front and linked play when possible.

Lacked a clinical edge and was relatively quiet in front of goal.

Raphinha (7/10)

Showed energy and delivered some useful crosses and runs.

Was substituted as Barcelona looked for a different spark late on.

Fermín López (7.5/10)

Came on early and provided the assist for Espart’s equaliser with a clever pass.

Added urgency and creativity that the side needed after the break.
