Will Ospreay is set for another major test as AEW prepares for Full Gear 2026. A familiar rival made his intentions clear on the October 28 episode of Dynamite.

After surviving a tough singles contest, the challenger put the World Champion on notice. Soon he got the opportunity he wanted.

Kyle Fletcher defeated “Jungle” Jack Perry on the Fright Night edition of Dynamite before turning his attention to Ospreay.

The Don Callis Family members Mark Davis and Jake Doyle then joined him in the ring. Fletcher then made his case for a shot at AEW’s top championship.

Kyle Fletcher to challenge Will Ospreay for AEW World Championship at Full Gear

Kyle Fletcher reminded Ospreay that he had beaten him at Full Gear in 2024. He then challenged the current champion to put the gold on the line again. Fletcher also pointed to his recent tag team victory alongside Kevin Knight over Ospreay and Adam Copeland as further evidence that he deserves the opportunity.

AEW wasted little time confirming the match. Ospreay will defend the AEW World Championship against Fletcher at Full Gear on November 14 in Phoenix, Arizona.

Their rivalry stretches back to their time together in United Empire, before Fletcher and later Davis turned against Ospreay. The two have since met several times in AEW. Ospreay won their most recent singles encounter in a Steel Cage match at Revolution 2025. Fletcher, however, claimed the victory in their Full Gear meeting two years ago. Moreover, he will look to repeat that result with the world title at stake.

Before they collide for the championship, both men are scheduled to compete in the men’s Blood & Guts match on the November 4 episode of Dynamite. Fletcher will represent the Don Callis Family, while Ospreay will team with The Young Bucks, Adam Copeland, Darby Allin, and Steven Borden.

That brutal encounter could leave both men with extra wear and tear ahead of Full Gear.

Fletcher now has another chance to turn his past success into championship gold, while Ospreay must keep his title reign on track. At Full Gear, there will be no need to settle for bragging rights — the AEW World Championship will be the prize.
