AEW star Anthony Bowens’ future has become a talking point among fans. His contract status remains unclear following reports of its expiration. However, his former tag team partner Max Caster has shared an update.
Max Caster addressed Anthony Bowens’ AEW status in a virtual signing with K&S WrestleFest. He confirmed that his former partner was still working for AEW. Caster said, “He’s still there. I don’t wanna’ speak for him too much but he still works there.”
Bowens recently appeared on AEW Dynamite: A Tribute To PAC. He also shared a photo from the NJPW Dojo. These appearances have kept fans interested in his current status. However, Caster’s comments don’t reveal Bowens’ contract details. His exact contractual situation remains unclear for now.
He credited Khan for supporting wrestlers, including himself. Caster said, “I always gotta shout out Tony Khan, because he’s supporting a lot of wrestlers living right now… including me. I’m still living off AEW money… That’s a guy who, for whatever reason in his heart, is supporting wrestling and supporting wrestlers.”
He also addressed whether he could return to wrestling. He suggested a future comeback cannot be completely ruled out. “It’s wrestling, right? You never say never. However, I am saying no to wrestling bookings right now, and that would be a wrestling booking, so, I don’t know.” [H/T: ewrestlingnews]
AEW recently removed Caster from its official roster page after his contract reportedly expired in early October. He was then set to debut for TNA at Bound for Glory. However, his controversial rap on the debut led to his departure from the company.
For now, Caster appears to be stepping away from wrestling bookings. His future plans remain uncertain following the TNA controversy. Meanwhile, his former tag team partner continues to work with AEW.
