There could have been a scenario where Nicky Hayen would have been coaching Reo Hatate in the colours of Celtic.
When Hayen was working in Belgium, he was linked to the managerial post at Celtic, and you even had some supporters wanting him at the club.
Instead, Hayen ended up at Burnley after they suffered relegation to the Championship last season, and they proceeded to sign Reo Hatate.
But it has all gone horribly wrong for the duo because Hayen was sacked by Burnley on Saturday evening, and now Hatate has got a relegation fight on his hands after leaving Celtic.
Hatate started for Burnley against Lincoln City, playing a deeper midfield role, getting subbed off after 74 minutes, and losing the match 4-1.
It was a complete disaster for the Clarets because Lincoln are a newly promoted side, and they have made a mixed start to life in England’s second tier.
Even though Hatate has shown some life at Burnley, in the main, it has been miserable, because he has walked into an absolute mess at Turf Moor.
Burnley Football Club has dismissed Head Coach Nicky Hayen with immediate effect. The Board has taken the decision following a disappointing start to the Championship season. https://t.co/rPai3oFHVU

All in all, Burnley have won just one game this season, despite being one of the favourites to make a return to the Premier League, and now they are in a relegation battle.
Hatate has always dreamed of playing in a top-five league in Europe; if things continue the way they are, he will end up in England’s third tier.
