The manager has stated he will bring Anatoliy Trubin in for Samuel Soares for the league phase match this evening.
Soares has been largely first-choice for the Portuguese side this season, with Trubin only playing a handful of games.
But the Ukrainian goalkeeper will come in to face Celtic, a team he has played against twice before.
Trubin was in goal for Shakhtar Donetsk when they played Celtic in the Champions League group stage in 2022/23. Both matches ended 1-1.
The 25-year-old has been on the bench for every league match, but played in the 2-0 win over AC Milan in the first league phase fixture in the Europa League last month.
Silva confirmed in his pre-match press conference: “Regarding the goalkeepers, it’s also a matter of competition, and I can tell you today, it’s the only thing I’ll give you: Trubin will start the game tomorrow."
It comes as Viljami Sinisalo admitted he was surprised after being dropped to the bench for Celtic by Martin O'Neill in favour of loan signing Sam Johnstone earlier this season.
"I'll put it bluntly, it was a surprise but that's ultimately a decision that's been made," he said.
"That's gone now, you can't really focus on it too much.
"It's down to me in terms of staying in the team.
"Like I said, performing in a manner that there isn't a conversation.
"I don't want there to be a conversation, that's the bottom line."
