The Raiders are clearly as popular as ever. For proof of this, you need only looking at the viewership numbers they've been putting up this season. Two weeks ago, they set records in their clash with the Kansas City Chiefs. And this week, they did it again.
They say the NFL is more exciting when the Raiders are good. And when they jumped out to a 3-0 start to the season, they got everyone's attention.
Granted, they have since lost three straight, but in those two highly viewed matchups against the Chiefs and Bills, they were very competitive, with both ending with a three-point difference.
Next week, CBS won't get to enjoy the spoils of having the Raiders in the lineup. Their clash with the Rams in Las Vegas will be aired on FOX.
The Rams went for broke with their offseason acquisitions, including the trade for Myles Garrett. But Garrett has been on IR since the opener and several other injuries have them not living up to the hype. They currently sit at 2-4 on the season and are coming off a low-scoring affair to the Cardinals.
