The Tampa Bay Rays have kept their World Series hopes alive by forcing a Game 5. Their thrilling 4-3 victory in Game 4 dashed the Milwaukee Brewers' hopes of a sweep to their first-ever World Series championship title.
The back-and-forth battle that stretched into 12 innings came down to the wire.
After Cooper Pratt homered to left-center in the top of the 12th, it seemed the Brewers were on the verge of completing a historic sweep. But the Rays refused to give in: Junior Caminero got things going to reach first base on a costly throwing error, setting the stage for Jonny DeLuca and Ben Williamson to knock in the final two runs.
Their performance in the bottom of the 12th sealed a victory for Tampa Bay, ensuring the series would continue.
Now, the series stands at 3-1 in Milwaukee's favor. The action continues at the Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida, where Game 5 will take place at 8 p.m. ET on Wednesday, Oct. 28.
