How Rangers fared in Dundee bounce game as fringe men play

Three days after the teams battled it out in a Premiership affair, drawing 2-2 at Dens Park, there was another match up today. This time it was behind closed doors and allowed both managers to give fringe men a run out.

Dundee travelled to Glasgow for the game at Auchenhowie and left as 2-1 victors, with Charlie Reilly and a trialist scoring.

One of the goals was a penalty, with Rangers goalkeeper Liam Kelly also saving a second spot kick. Ross McCausland scored for the Ibrox side.

The likes of the likes of Bojan Miovski, Findlay Curtis, Vanja Dragojevic, Tochi Chukwuani and Ben Godfrey got game time for Rangers.

As well as the one who got on the scoresheet, Dundee had a second trialist featuring in the bounce game. While Reilly, Ryan Finnigan, Joe Wright and Brad Halliday all played too.

The Premiership draw between the sides on Saturday evening under the lights at Dens leaves Rangers four points behind leaders Celtic, who thumped Hearts 7-1 the following day. Pressley's men sit fourth after an impressive start to the season, despite suffering from a number of injuries.
