In-form sides jockey for top-four strength in the Premier League when third-place Brighton and Hove Albion visit fifth-place Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday.
The Seagulls open the day five points off the top of the table and four points ahead of their weekend hosts.
Liverpool have won three-straight since losing 3-0 to Man City in the Premier League, sandwiching Champions League wins over LASK Linz and Villarreal around a PL victory at Brentford.
Brighton were well-rotated for a 0-0 draw with Czech side Jablonec in the Conference League, a very rare occasion in which the Seagulls were kept off the scoreboard.
Fabian Hurzeler’s men had scored in 10-straight matches including eight games with three or more goals. Liverpool are a step up from recent PL wins over Sunderland and Crystal Palace, but this is a Seagulls side that smashed Arsenal before the last international break.
Kick off time: 10am ET Sunday, October 25
Venue: Anfield — Liverpool
TV Channel: Peacock
Dominik Szoboszlai is out and Victor Munoz could also miss this one, but Bradley Barcola is ready to go according to Iraola.
Brighton could have Yankuba Minteh and Mats Wieffer back this weekend, though next week was a stated target for the former. Fabian Hurzeler is also waiting on the status of Pascal Struijk.
Kaoru Mitoma, Femi Azeez, Stefanos Tzimas, and Evan Ferguson will miss out.
The Reds are bit more rested but Brighton rotated quite a bit in Czechia and the Szoboszlai absence remains big for Liverpool. Goals and a split are reasonable. Liverpool 1-1 Brighton.
