Notts duo Jack Haynes and Liam Patterson-White have been selected in England Lions’ 50-over and T20 squads for a Caribbean tour to play West Indies A in November.
Haynes, 25, will represent the Lions for the first time since a 2023 tour to Sri Lanka, following on from a 2026 domestic season in which he scored just shy of 1,500 all-format runs.
He passed 50 on 11 occasions, turning four of those into centuries, and notably hit 116 not out in a comeback win over Yorkshire in the Metro Bank One Day Cup quarter-finals.
Meanwhile, Patterson-White, 27, was recently awarded an England Development Contract and retains his place with the Lions after featuring against South Africa A earlier this summer.
His 42 County Championship wickets at an average of 25.11 marked him out as the leading first-class spinner in the country, across either division.
Nottinghamshire Assistant Head Coach, Paul Franks, has been named on the coaching staff for the England Lions trip, with the backroom team set to be led by former England batter Jonathan Trott.
“I’m excited to get to work with a hugely talented group of players starting with this white-ball tour of the Caribbean," said Trott.
“I’ve spoken about how important the Lions was in my career and now it’s my role to help prepare younger players for what lays ahead of them in international cricket.
“I also want to create a culture where England players will benefit from coming back and working in this environment to push for national team selection across formats and by performing and helping the Lions to win games of cricket.
“This squad has a mix of Centrally Contracted and Development Contract players which reflects some of the highest performing and most precious talent around the game.”
Additionally, Ben Duckett and Josh Tongue have been named in the England Men's ODI squad for November's white-ball tour of Australia.
The Three Lions will face Australia in a three-match ODI series as part of a wider white-ball series, starting with a warm-up fixture against a Western Australian XI on 7 November.
