Tottenham Hotspur appear to have turned a corner with back-to-back Premier League wins. After a six-game winless run, Roberto De Zerbi’s side have moved up the table by beating Coventry City and Chelsea.
While they have scored five goals combined in their last two games, there are holes in the forward department. Barring flashes of brilliance, summer signings Savio and Omar Marmoush haven’t provided the clinical edge required in key moments in games, while Dominic Solanke has blown more cold than hot. There remain genuine concerns from the fans regarding the lack of productivity from Spurs’ attacking unit.
After missing out on signing a No.9, it looks like the North London outfit want to recruit one during the winter transfer window.
According to a report from TEAMtalk, Tottenham have made trips to France to watch AS Monaco striker Paris Brunner. Chelsea, Arsenal, Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain are all monitoring his progress.
AS Monaco’s financial situation has alerted several big clubs around Europe to Paris Brunner, who has been prolific at the start of the season. The 20-year-old has scored an impressive eight goals and supplied one assist in 10 appearances so far this season. This is turning out to be the Germany Under-21 international’s breakthrough season at AS Monaco, grabbing the opportunity with both hands to establish himself in the first team.
The Principality side are under pressure to generate further funds, with Brunner among many players whose futures could come under scrutiny. Monaco are short of their intended sales revenue, and their financial situation could have a bearing on Brunner’s future, the report adds.

Brunner has been turning heads with his technical quality and goalscoring ability in France, prompting several European scouts to take note. Monaco officials are well aware of growing interest from across Europe and are actively bracing themselves for potential formal approaches and bids when the upcoming January transfer window opens.
As the Hotspur Way bosses look toward future squad planning under Roberto De Zerbi, identifying elite emerging talent remains a core pillar of the club’s long-term transfer strategy. One of the most in-form strikers on the continent, Brunner could be placed on the chopping block by Monaco to balance their books, and that’s when Spurs must look to take advantage.
The Lilywhites need a young striker to replace Richarlison, who is exiled from the squad and will be moved on in the winter transfer window. Brunner, in that regard, fits the bill perfectly. The 20-year-old has the raw ingredients in his game to thrive in the Premier League, something Spurs chiefs must not ignore.
With interest in him rising, the least Tottenham can do is test Monaco’s resolve for the German youth international in January.
