The Denver Broncos found another way to win a one-score game to get them to 7-2 with a 26-21 victory over the Carolina Panthers on Sunday in Week 9.
The biggest turning points of the game were in part to, who else, the Broncos' defense. First, it was backup Denver safety Devon Key with one of the weirdest interceptions you’ll ever see to keep the Panthers out of the end zone in the third quarter, which led to a Broncos touchdown in the fourth.
Second, and most importantly, a strip-sack from pass-rusher Nik Bonitto essentially ended the game for Denver. The offense did their part in the first quarter with 10 points, but faltered in the third. However, they more than made up for it in the fourth, when they scored 13 points to take the lead for good.
Broncos Country once again found solace in their team, especially in one-score games. You can see their reactions to the win below.
The Broncos now head into their bye for some much-needed rest, as many of their star players heal and recover from injuries, but they sit at 7-2, with a difficult stretch ahead of them.
Now, it’s a fierce battle for the top of the AFC, with Denver’s sights set on the No. 1 playoff seed.
