Swansea City dealt injury blow before Blackburn Rovers clash

The Welsh side, who were thumped 5-0 by Queens Park Rangers in a shock result last weekend, host Rovers on Saturday.

Yeo joins Ronald on the sidelines, with his fellow winger ruled out for two before the trip to Loftus Road.

Vitor Matos will now be without another wide man, with Yeo's scan ruling him out for several weeks.

"Moussa felt his hamstring after West Ham. We assessed during the week to see how he could handle the situation," Matos revealed.

"In the end, we needed to do a scan. The scan showed an injury there.

"So he will be out for around two to three weeks. Of course, losing Moussa is not the best for us, but we have a strong squad and we will find a way to cover his absence."

That could open the door for Jeremy Monga, who joined Manchester City from Leicester in the summer.

The talented teenager has barely featured for Swansea, though, but might get his opportunity with two rivals sidelined.

"I think that's a natural question and a natural situation than when of course one winger is injured that creates a gap," Matos said.

"That is a space for another player to fill. Jeremy is one of our players. He's training well.

"I think he's getting step-by-step much more used to us and much more used to the environment and that's good."

Swansea will be a tough test for Rovers, though their back-to-back defeats have seen them drop off top spot.

It could be a good time to play them after a first wobble of the season but may equally galvanise them to deliver a reaction against Tony Mowbray's side.
