An update on R-Truth’s condition has emerged following his injury on WWE SmackDown.
R-Truth faced his former tag team partner Damian Priest in a singles match on last week’s WWE SmackDown. However, the bout was stopped early after he appeared to injure himself after delivering a top-rope dropkick to Priest. He stayed down on the mat after the impact, and the referee held up the X sign after checking on him.
F4WOnline‘s Bryan Alvarez provided an update on R-Truth’s condition. He said the only information he has is that the former WWE Tag Team Champion seemed to be okay and will be evaluated this week.
Last week’s SmackDown featured R-Truth’s first match. This was since Damian Priest turned on him on the September 11 episode in Mexico City. It was also the former 24/7 Champion’s first singles match since December 2025.
Truth and Damian Priest enjoyed a 147-day WWE Tag Team Championship run before dropping it to MFT’s Tama and Talla Tonga on the August 14, 2026, episode of SmackDown. Priest ended their partnership after failing to defeat the War Raiders for the AAA World Tag Team Championship on the September 11 episode of the blue brand.
We at WrestleZone wish R-Truth a speedy recovery.
