Reedijk told his players “I want music, I want beer, I want everything” when they returned to the dressing room after beating Hearts in the Premier Sport Cup semi-finals and joined in a rendition of Sunshine on Leith with their fans.
But the Dutchman is now determined to secure a first William Hill Premiership win when Hibs travel to Pittodrie.
“It was a very beautiful moment,” he said. “After the match, you saw what it meant to the fans, what it meant to the club and what it meant to the players. That is important because this is what football is about.
“The best thing for me was that we showed we can get a result in the way we want to play. We can come back from 1-0 down, play beautiful football but also do the dirty work. That was important to see.
“However, it’s history now. We need to make sure we can do it over multiple matches and for a longer period of time.
“If you achieve something as we did on Sunday, it’s important to celebrate it. We work hard, so you can also party for an evening. Then, from that point, we need to focus on Aberdeen.
“We’re in a sort of rat race, with game after game after game. We do everything at the highest possible intensity, from training sessions to matches. Therefore, you need to celebrate your victories sometimes.”
He added: “For me, it’s important that we make another step in the way we want to play. We need to do things better than we did in the last match. Whether it’s Hearts or someone else, we need to have the same hunger for every match.”
