Maidenhead United and Slough Town now know their opponents in the FA Trophy following the draw for the Second Round on Monday afternoon.

The Rebels will face Didcot Town who upset the odds at the weekend by beating Southern League Premier Division South leaders Poole Town 2-1 at Loop Meadow.

Both Slough and Maidenhead United, who have been drawn away to Maidstone United – are in the competition for the first time this season, their Step 2 National League South status giving them byes from the early rounds.

Didcot were the nearest thing to a Berkshire side in the First Round Proper and have beaten Winchester City, FA Vase holders AFC Stoneham, Bracknell Town and Poole to reach the Second Round – the furthest the Railwaymen have ever been in the competition.

For Maidenhead, it’s the ‘mixed-up derby’ as they travel to Kent for a tie against National League South rivals and leaders Maidstone – who beat the Magpies 2-1 on 17th October.
