Cadden made his first start of the 2026/27 season at the Marbill Coaches Stadium after a difficult few months on the sidelines through injury.
And he was pleased to have played his part in the point.
Marink Reedijk’s side dominated possession before Cadden’s corner was scrambled home by Marko Ivezić just 12 minutes left to play.
The lead was short-lived, though, as an unfortunate own-goal by Jason Kerr restored parity in Paisley, and Hibs had to settle for a point.
After the final whistle Cadden told Hibs TV: “I think we edged it
“I think it should have been three [points], but I think it’s a point, and we’ll build on that.
“Obviously, we need to do better with our chances and also stop losing slack goals.
“I felt like we deserved to get the three points.
“The way we played, I thought we dominated the game as well, and it’s just disappointing that we’ve only got one point, but there’s something to build on.
“We pride ourselves on set pieces as well, so it’s disappointing.
“We scored one, so we’re buzzing with that, but then we need to keep it out on the other end, and we’re gutted in there, but it’s something to build on, and we’ll take it into Sunday.”
He believes it’s a base to build on ahead of Sunday’s Premier Sports Cup Semi-Final at Barclays Hampden against Hearts.
He added: “It’s a massive game on Sunday, and there’s no getting away from that. It’s a chance to play at Hampden and get to the final.
“I’m delighted [with my first start of the season], and I thought I did okay, so I’m happy with my performance, and hopefully [I can do] the same on Sunday.
“The fans [have been brilliant] all season, and they’re hurting, and we’re hurting at the moment.
“We’re just trying to turn it around for them, and we will make sure we do that.”
