Surprises at WWE NXT Halloween Havoc 2026: Three unexpected moments we could see at the first-ever Halloween night PLE

For the very first time in the event’s history across WCW and WWE, NXT Halloween Havoc will be taking place on October 31, making for even more of an expectation for thrills and scares inside the Performance Center.

As well as all of the Halloween-themed moments, we could see the in-ring action itself provide some unexpected twists and turns.

Here are three surprises we could see at WWE NXT Halloween Havoc 2026:

Kendal Grey turns on Wren Sinclair after shock title win

One of the two marquee matches set to take place at Halloween Havoc will pit NXT Women’s Champion Kelani Jordan against underdog challenger Wren Sinclair.

Sinclair is in the spot that many anticipated her WrenQCC tag team partner Kendal Grey would be in after she lost the NXT Women’s Title to Jordan back at Heatwave in August.

However, an ear injury prevented that happening, leading to Sinclair stepping in and stepping up to “The Standout” on Halloween night. With Jordan being linked more and more with a call-up to the main roster, WWE may actually go ahead and book Sinclair to pull off the big upset win.

History has told us to never expect friendships to last in NXT however, so Sinclair’s crowning moment may very well be ruined by a jealous Kendal Grey, who can then position herself as Sinclair’s first challenger heading towards the end of the year.

GUNTHER attacks Danhausen again during Halloween Havoc hosting gig

Like Halloween Havoc will be tonight, the October 30 episode of WWE SmackDown was hosted by Danhausen, who had an up and down night in Charleston, WV.

The “Very Nice, Very Evil” star managed to successfully resurrect the Gingerbread Man, much to Lil Yachty’s surprise, but he failed to convince Tiffany Stratton to part with her Money in the Bank briefcase in exchange for some human teeth. Oh, and he also got put through a table by GUNTHER.

Thankfully for Danhausen, and everyone looking forward to seeing him host Halloween Havoc, “Demon” Finn Balor made the save to fend off GUNTHER, in what appears to potentially set up a one-on-one match between the two at Crown Jewel 2026.

However, “The Ring General” may very well not wait until next week to get a bit of revenge for what happened on SmackDown, as at Halloween Havoc, he has a great opportunity to target Danhausen when Balor is not around (presumably).

Tony D’Angelo bids farewell to NXT after loss to Grayson Waller

The main event of WWE NXT Halloween Havoc 2026 will see Grayson Waller defend his NXT Championship against Tony D’Angelo.

The meeting of two of NXT 2.0.’s last remaining alumni could be a turning point for the career of Tony D specifically, as a win would likely mean he’s set to remain in NXT until at least the end of 2026, whereas a loss should free him up to finally make the jump to Raw or SmackDown.

While it didn’t work out all too well, Waller has competed under the bright lights of the main roster and his return to NXT has set him up for a bigger push when he eventually returns to that stage. For D’Angelo, he has never been given that chance to spread his wings beyond the WWE Performance Center.

If D’Angelo loses to Waller on Saturday night, we could see him say goodbye to NXT right there; a significant moment in the brand’s history as one of it’s most decorated champions departs for greener pastures.
