Retour
Former WWE Women's World Champion Stephanie Vaquer missed this past Monday's RAW, which forced the company to alter its plans for the Women’s World Championship picture. Vaquer's originally scheduled main-event matchup against Becky Lynch was changed to a championship match, with Liv Morgan defending her Women's World Title against Lynch.
According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, Vaquer could not compete due to an illness. Meltzer stated that while Vaquer’s illness is not considered particularly serious, her return timeline remains uncertain. He added that Vaquer's absence would likely extend beyond just a week. Although Meltzer mentioned that he shouldn't speculate, he confirmed that the situation regarding her return is still indeterminate, which is why the match between Vaquer and Lynch was canceled.
Meltzer clarified that Vaquer's absence was not related to the ankle injury she suffered at Money in the Bank on October 10, nor is it part of a storyline. The match was planned for Monday night, but due to Vaquer's illness, she was unable to attend. This change also led to the decision to have the Becky Lynch-Liv Morgan match conclude with a disqualification finish, as they did not want Lynch to lose.
