A week ago sitting there you talked about a pain in the tummy caused by that Brighton defeat that had gone on for three weeks. That pain must have been relieved this week with two great performances, two great results?
"We have responded really well in the last two games, two very good performances and results. Now we just focus on the game against Forest which I know is going to be a really tough one."
There have been a bit of a lack of goals in the last couple of trips to the City Ground. Can you promise us some goals this time for our Super Sunday fans?
"We're going to try really hard to score goals and to prevent goals as well. Both is going to be, as I said, a really tough match. Extremely well coached team. We know that we already had experience with Oliver in the past and a team that at home can create a really special momentum. So we are ready for it."
Talking about goals, 21 goals so far this season in all competitions. 20 of them from open play. You took criticism for scoring set-piece goals last season. Is this something you've been working on these years?
"Look what you just said. 'Criticism for scoring goals'. I don't know what level we are right now. The team is showing a great attacking flow. I think we have scored some beautiful goals. The value of the goals is exactly the same. So I think we have to be a team that is able to score in many, many ways and will make it harder for the opponent."
Can I just check up on the team news? Hincapie and Zubimendi?
"Piero is evolving really well as well. Knowing his character and the way he pushes everybody, I'm sure it's not going to take long I think. But he will need probably another week or two. Zubi looks much better. He already looked much better today and we have another session tomorrow. After that we will assess whether he's available to play against Forest."
Hincapie back before the international break?
"I'm very hopeful. But we have to see how this goes."
Christos Tzolis?
"Again, doing really well. Yesterday he had another MRI scan to see how the injury is evolving. It's progressing really well. Another one that hopefully we can have back in a few weeks."

William Saliba?
"Again, I think next week we have another MRI with him to see how the healing process is at the moment. But every sign so far has been very, very positive. It will be great to have him."
Obviously that's a back injury. We didn't see him on the back row, the middle row or the front row of the team photo. What happened there?
"So what happened was that we have tried to do that picture three times already. We had to cancel it last minute for different reasons. And we have some obligations, commercial obligations, we had people that came and flew over to do that. So we decided to do that picture at least. We'll have another picture with the whole family. Hopefully we can get them all together at some point one day. And we will announce that as well."
So you're going to redo the picture?
"Yeah."
Is he happy about that?
"It wasn't in his hands. But normally he's happy about everything. And he knows how loved he is and they were taking some banter out of the place. He's completely fine."
Jurrien Timber, if selected 100th appearance for Arsenal on Sunday. You must be pleased with the way he's progressing now.
"Yeah, we can see the importance of him in the team. When he's physically at his best, he's an unbelievable player. A player that can really transform your way of attacking. The aggression that he has in his defending part of the game. And a real character as well on that pitch. So yeah, great to have him at that level."
Arsenal will retake their team photo with William Saliba in it, Mikel Arteta has confirmed
I have a difficult question. It's not really one for you, but as you're the one that sits in front of us twice or three times a week. There's been some sad news regarding the club. And inevitably in this day and age, we're all big companies, big organisations. There's a review of manpower. Some people are going to lose their jobs. What's your thought on that?
"Well said first, because this question is not for me. So I was explained about the exercise and analysis that has been done across the club. And with the intention always to evolve, to improve. Some decisions have to be taken to put people in the right roles and keep investing to achieve what we want to achieve and the success that we want to create. So that's been explained. Obviously, I'm not the right person to answer to that question. That's for sure. And hopefully everybody will respect that."
How impressed have you been by Myles Lewis-Skelly?
"We just discussed that a few days ago. Because we had a doubt when a player is in such a good moment playing a certain position, to change him is not ideal. But we had an injury with Piero and we knew that at some point we were going to need him with the schedule that we have. He responded incredibly well. I think he had a big performance the other night. And that shows you the maturity, the capacity to adapt, the intelligence of the player and he's in a really good moment."
What do you discuss with him before he is going to play?
"Well, we always make him aware, especially when we have some thoughts to be prepared and to understand, first of all, the role. To understand the things that he needs to dominate in that specific game. And he's very open. He knows that as well, being able to play in different positions, as a six, as an eight, as a fullback, he's going to open more possibilities to play. And that's a massive asset and he's got the capacity to do that."
On Forest, are you surprised that they've struggled under Glasner?
"Yeah, but in some games, it was the result. Because in terms of the performance and what he deserved for the game, it should have been very, very different and we are very aware of that."
Viktor Gyokeres, how is he dealing with not being first choice? He's not scoring goals either?
"These are moments in a player's career, or in a season, I would say. And we are trying to help him as much as possible. The other day, I think, he had some very good moments. He's three or four times in front of goal with no keeper and the ball should arrive to him and it doesn't.
"And maybe you are talking about something else. But these are the strikers. It's very small margins. Scoring or not scoring changes the narrative, for sure not the perception of how much he can help the team."
Viktor Gyokeres is yet to score for Arsenal this season
Calendar, busy week, Leeds, Llille, Forest, Bayern Munich? Little time to rest? Any more thoughts on over-working players?
"The thought is how we recover them and get them in the best possible condition for the next match because that's not going to change. It's a lot of talk about it. Let's see what the action is after this season, but it doesn't look like it's going to change."
Just on Ken Friar's passing, can you give another little tribute?
"Well, as I said in the press conference after the match, I think if you had to embody someone to represent the soul and heart of this football club, that would be him. I think the way he came to the club and the way he leaves the club, the legacy he leaves in between in so many different roles, in so many different moments of the club, is someone that is incredibly difficult to achieve. He's done it through his full commitment to the club, love for the club, and doing it in a manner that it was so special because he was a character. He had a personality, an aura, anybody that has met him, that he was different to anybody else."
Jurrien had a really tough six months battling back, it's been a real challenge for him? How hard has it been?
"It's been a challenge, but it's true that, obviously, he overcame a really difficult one as well on the first competitive match with Arsenal when he injured his ACL. So he had some background and some experience on that. I think he has used this time as well to challenge himself.
"In other areas, probably to value more the profession and the fact that when you are available and you have the opportunity to play, it's just one of the best things that can happen to you. And then, yeah, I think he's pushed so hard because he had some difficult moments and he's pushed so hard with the people next to him to get him back to this level. We've spoken a lot that you've quite rarely had him and Ben fit at the same time."
What is the relationship like with Jurrien and Ben? Are they competitive with each other and do they push each other on?
"Unbelievable. I just had the two of them in my office reviewing the game. The way they talk to each other, the way they respect each other, the way they like each other, it's just a joy. That's why when somebody plays, the other one is there to support him. And that's what we need because with the amount of games that we play, it cannot be any different."
Bruno G, expecting maybe a slow start after the international break given he travelled across the world but he's really hit the ground running after coming off bench vs Leeds? Is there anything that's happened that you can put that down to such as family moving in?
"There were a few factors. They arrived to London on Sunday night, so we almost had six days before the game. And because they've been travelling and training, the temptation was, OK, land here on Sunday, check in and give them two or three days off. They can go to Marbella. No Marbella! They were in India, they were in Australia. What they needed is to recover, sleep, eat well, have some proper training, and have a day off and two days to prepare for the game. And I think that changed a lot because otherwise they would have been in a very different position."
Bruno Guimaraes has caught the eye in Arsenal's past two matches
Five shots for Bruno vs Lille, no player had more, when you signed him everyone spoke about the steel he added to your team, is he someone that can put numbers on the board?
"That's one of the best attributes [arriving in the box], I think. He's a player that is constantly playing to have the position, whether it is with passes, whether it is with runs, with shots, as you mentioned. And you could see his numbers last year as well, and he's a player that has to add a lot of value and impact in that final third."
Is Gyokeres struggling with confidence?
"That's a very personal question. I think what he transmits is an incredible will and determination and worry to improve and help the team. That's it. And that's Viktor every single day, regardless of his position, whether he scores a goal or not. And that's why he's always an option to play."
Are Arsenal short at left-wing?
"When someone misses a few weeks, you are lighter, slightly lighter than left-back, yes, centre-back when Mosquera was out? Yes. That's what we want, players to be available and robust enough to be available always but if they're not, somebody else. The good thing is that when someone has come in, whether that's Ebs or Noni they have performed."
