AC Milan are already working on a contract renewal for Alphadjo Cisse, who scored a hat-trick last night, and a meeting has been set for next week.
Putting the Salzburg game to one side for a minute, Cisse has been one of the most interesting players for Milan so far this season. He bagged a goal in the opener against Torino and then followed that up with one against Juventus, certainly catching the attention of most calcio fans.
With that in mind, the interest in him has just exploded since the hat-trick in Austria last night. Not just because Milan fans are excited about what the future can bring, but also because he’s being considered for the national team.
According to Luca Bianchin, Milan are well aware of the player’s potential and are ‘already working’ on a contract renewal. That says a lot given that he was signed by the club in January this year, and he has only been playing with them since the pre-season.
His current contract, which is worth around €800k per season, expires in 2030 and Milan’s idea is to extend it to 2031. A renewal would also include a pay rise that is yet to be determined and it would follow the path of the Camarda and Comotto renewals in the summer.
If everything goes to plan, there will be a meeting between Milan and Cisse’s entourage next week to discuss the matter. An agreement should be reached before the end of the year, as the report concludes.
