Jordan Pimley made history by retaining the BRSCC Mazda MX5 Clubman Championship, which was created in 2021, in the season finale at Silverstone.
The Bromsgrove racer is now the first person in the championship's history to retain the title after winning his maiden championship in 2025.
Jordan cemented his place in the racing history books thanks to nice race wins and three second-place finishes during a dominant 2026.
"I came into the championship in 2023 with the goal of being the first-ever double champion, so it's incredibly special to me to be able to conquer that achievement," Jordan said.
"Being a spec series with identical cars, the racing is naturally incredibly close, with the race outcome usually only becoming obvious in the last couple of corners.
"So to win my first championship was amazing, but to win a second and do it back to back is seriously hard to put into words, and to do it racing alongside my girlfriend, Lyr Jacobs, in the same championship is truly a dream come true."
"I was incredibly fortunate to be so successful early in the year and to create a comfortable gap in the points standings, and as a lot of people know, motorsport is incredibly expensive.
"This cost meant I've sacrificed a lot over the last few years and even ran out of money this year.
"To be able to still win the championship by cutting back expenses and using really old tyres was not easy by any stretch of the imagination."
Despite his history-making championship success, Jordan is now gearing up to take part in the Race of Remembrance at Anglesey Circuit in November.
Jordan, alongside his girlfriend Lyr, her dad Warren, and three other friends, will form a six-driver line-up for the 12-hour endurance race based around remembrance that Jordan says 'brings together the passion for motorsport with our brave armed forces'.
