Man Utd boss Michael Carrick will know another defeat this weekend could cost him his job.
There are already rumours that the club are drawing up a shortlist of replacements, so a win or (at the very least) a draw against Leeds is vital.
The fact that it is a big derby against a rival who hasn’t lost at home so far this season means this will not be a walk in the park.
Press the next page as we share our Man Utd predicted lineup to take on Leeds United at Elland Road on Sunday afternoon…
RB – Leny Yoro – Harry Maguire’s return to the starting lineup may lead to the Frenchman moving over to right-back once again.
CB – Harry Maguire – the 33-year-old was rested for the defeat to Atletico Madrid midweek, and he is expected to be recalled for the weekend.
CB – Lisandro Martinez – despite his public outburst, Carrick is likely to keep the Argentinian international in the eleven.
LB – Diogo Dalot – if Luke Shaw and Noussair Mazraoui remain unavailable, the Portuguese defender could provide cover, with Ayden Heaven dropping to the bench.
However, Carrick may well switch him to a deeper-lying role against Leeds to accommodate others.
CM – Carlos Baleba – the midfielder’s mobility and dynamism will be needed in what will be an intense atmosphere at Elland Road.
AM – Bruno Fernandes – the captain has not been himself recently, and there are suspicions that he is still carrying an injury.
CF – Bryan Mbeumo – the Cameroon international looked sharp midweek, but his finishing let him down.
Mbeumo will hope to be more clinical if he is presented with a scoring opportunity on Sunday.
LW – Matheus Cunha – Carrick may well reinstate the Brazilian to the eleven at the expense of Marcus Rashford.
