Arsenal are the visitors to the City Ground today as Nottingham Forest look to arrest their woeful home form and kick-start their season.
The Reds are in dire straits at the moment. A defeat to Coventry was followed by another loss on the road at Crystal Palace last weekend, and Oliver Glasner needs a big performance today.
Glasner refused to blame Liam Delap for his sitter against the Eagles. At that point, Forest were leading 1-0, and had he scored, things could have been much different.
Now, with the reigning champions set to arrive at the City Ground, one fan has made a compelling case to completely overhaul the midfield for this contest.
Both Yates and Sangare have been out of action this season. Sangare has been injured but recently made a recovery, whilst Yates has been unable to impress Glasner sufficiently to get minutes.
With James McAtee likely to push further forward should Morgan Gibbs-White miss out through injury, there will be a spot available in midfield up for grabs.
That will surely go to Sangare, but one fan through our TalkingPoints app has suggested that it might be time to get Yates and Sangare playing alongside each other. He posted:
It would perhaps be harsh on Xaver Schlager should Yates and Sangare get the nod to play against Arsenal, but given the poor form, there is an argument that change could be good.
Sangare was one of the best players in the Forest team last season. He will be itching to get back into contention for the starting line-up, and his ball-playing qualities have been missed.
Yates is an interesting one. There is no doubting his ability to get around the pitch and get stuck in, although Nicolas Dominguez will almost certainly be ahead of him in the pecking order if it came to overhauling the midfield.
Something does need to give for Forest. Losing games can become a habit, and for Glasner’s sake, something does need to change very quickly.
Whether Yates and Sangare are the two players to come in remains to be seen but the midfield options absolutely give Glasner some food for thought ahead of his team selection for the visit of Arsenal.
