Roma are once again closely monitoring Olympiacos’ Italian central defender Lorenzo Pirola.
According to Turkish journalist Ekrem Konur, the Giallorossi have intensified their monitoring of the player, sending their own scouts to Greece to closely evaluate his performances.
In particular, Roma representatives have reportedly attended several matches at the Georgios Karaiskakis Stadium, including the October 11 derby against Panathinaikos, which Olympiacos won 1-0 and featured Pirola entirely.
The Roman club is reportedly closely monitoring the defender’s development ahead of the upcoming transfer window.
Pirola, 24, is a left-footed centre-back who developed through Inter’s youth academy and has already featured in Serie A with Salernitana. He moved to Olympiacos in the summer of 2024 and has extended his contract until June 2028. A young player with considerable international experience, his technical abilities could represent an interesting solution for Gasperini’s defence.
