The upcoming Bout Race will see the Oxford Blackbirds face off against the Cambridge Rollerbillies and the Screaming Spires compete against the Punt Rockers on Sunday, December 6, at the White Horse Leisure Centre in Abingdon.
Rachel Kaye, who is involved in the match, said: "On Sunday 6th December, an unexpected format will be presented for the historic Oxford Cambridge rivalry - the fast-paced full-contact sport of roller derby."

The sport of 'roller derby' involves two teams, each fielding four blockers and one jammer.
The jammer is the designated points-scorer, who scores points for getting past each of the opposing teams blockers, who will aim to stop the progress of the jammer.
Ms Kaye added: "Picture rugby, on skates, with no ball."
The sport has its origins in Chicago, USA and was recently considered as an event for the 2020 Olympic Games.
The Oxford Roller Derby team was founded in 2010, and has been growing in size and experience ever since.
