The All Blacks have confirmed a change of captain ahead of their November Tests, with Ardie Savea ruled out through injury.
Savea will miss the northern hemisphere tour after suffering a shoulder injury.
The 33-year-old has not played since New Zealand's series against South Africa.
His absence is a major blow for Dave Rennie ahead of the Nations Championship.
Experienced hooker Codie Taylor will continue as captain after leading the All Blacks to two wins over Australia.
The 35-year-old has won 114 Test caps and will lead a 36-man squad.
New Zealand face Scotland, Wales and England in November, with their Twickenham clash set for 21 November.
Taylor first captained New Zealand in a Test against South Africa in September.
He then retained the role for October's two Tests against Australia.
Speaking after Taylor's earlier appointment, Rennie praised the hooker's leadership.
"Codie is a top man who has huge mana," said Rennie.
"His leadership as Tour Captain was important for us during Rugby's Greatest Rivalry, so we know he will do an outstanding job in Ardie's absence."
Taylor also admitted it was a special moment for his family.
"To lead this team is a massive honour, and I know I'm lucky to have a lot of good leaders around me who make that job easier."
Savea is one of nine players missing through injury.
Caleb Clarke, Tyrel Lomax and Shannon Frizell are among the other absentees, while Simon Parker is unavailable for personal reasons.
However, Rennie has welcomed back several big names.
Richie Mo'unga, Jordie Barrett and Anton Lienert-Brown are among eight players returning from injury.
"This is a really strong squad we have selected," said Rennie.
"We're also rapt to have eight players who have played a lot of footy for us this year return from injury."
New Zealand begin their November campaign against Scotland on 7 November.
They then travel to Cardiff to face Wales before meeting England at Twickenham on 21 November.
Taylor will hope to lead the All Blacks to three straight victories before the Nations Championship Finals Weekend.
For Steve Borthwick's England, Savea's absence could offer a welcome boost.
However, New Zealand still have plenty of experience, including Scott Barrett, Beauden Barrett and Will Jordan.
