Marc-Andre Barriault proved he’s still got some gas left in the tank earlier tonight (Sat., Oct. 17, 2026) at UFC Edmonton LIVE on Paramount+ from inside Rogers Place in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, stopping middleweight Kyle Daukaus with a smashing second-round TKO (punches and elbows).
The last time we saw Daukaus he was getting manhandled by Bo Nickal on the White House lawn, but he was still favored to walk out of UFC Edmonton a winner. That’s because Barriault is Barriault 36 years old and had won just one fight since 2023. Little did Daukaus know that magic was in the Canadian air and Barriault would find a way to an upset.
The first few minutes of action was all Daukaus as he pressed Barriault on the feet before landing a nice takedown. Daukaus even gained back control at one point, but wasn’t able to capitalize. Once Barriault returned to his feet he landed a slick knee inside that busted Daukaus up. Barriault kept the pressure up and Daukaus folded. Some final punches and elbows ultimately did Daukaus in and left Barriault with a huge win. A win that may have even been needed to keep his spot on the UFC roster.
