Ravens announce starting QB for Thursday night game vs. Jaguars

The Baltimore Ravens have announced their starting quarterback for Thursday night's matchup with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

According to Adam Schefter, Ravens head coach Jesse Minter announced that Joe Fagnano will get the start.

This comes after Lamar Jackson exited Sunday's game with a thumb injury that will require surgery and also land him on injured reserve.

Backup quarterback Tyler Huntley is dealing with a toe injury that he also suffered in Sunday's loss.

That leaves Fagnano to take over. Fagnano went undrafted this past April out of UCONN. His appearance in Week 8 was his first regular-season NFL action.

On 21 pass attempts, he completed 10 throws for 91 yards, while throwing an interception.

To bolster their quarterback depth, the Ravens also signed Kedon Slovis off the Green Bay practice squad.
