Swansea City are flying high towards the top of the Championship table right now, as whilst most players will be loving life in South Wales right now, some clearly won't be sharing that feeling.
It's been an excellent start to the 2026/27 Championship season for Swansea, who have surprised everyone by thrusting themselves into serious promotion contention in the early stages of the campaign.
Portuguese head coach Vitor Matos has got the Welsh outfit ticking, and after a brilliant summer window, it's clear to see exactly why his side are in the upper echelons of the table right now.
Despite allowing the likes of Ethan Galbraith, Liam Cullen, and Leo Walta to leave the club over the summer, it would be difficult to suggest the Swans haven't massively improved.
The likes of Joseph Opoku, Moussa Yeo, Stephen Welsh, Elijah Just, Ross Stewart, Stephen Eustáquio, and Jeremy Monga joined the club under the watch of Matos, with the latter arriving on loan from Manchester City.
Monga, 17, came through the ranks of Leicester City and made his Premier League debut aged just 15 years and 271 days old, and subsequently went on to break Jude Bellingham's record as the youngest goalscorer in EFL Championship history at 16 years and 37 days old.
Despite interest from numerous elite clubs across Europe and the United Kingdom, Monga opted to join Man City in a deal worth around £10 million over the summer, and was allowed to join Swansea on loan to continue his development, but so far, it hasn't been a fruitful one.
Since joining Swansea on loan, Monga hasn't quite had the experience he would have been hoping for.
Monga is still awaiting not only to make his professional debut for the club, but to even be included in a single matchday squad, with the Portuguese head coach admitting that whilst he has been available for selection, the sheer strength of the competition has seriously limited his minutes.
When asked whether Monga was in his plans, Matos said: "He's available, of course.
"But at the moment we've a really competitive squad. We need to make decisions regarding all the possibilities, to try to cover all scenarios on the bench as well, regarding how the game goes.
"So far Jeremy hasn't made the squad, but let's see."
With the likes of Yeo, Opoku, Eom Jisung, and Ronald as competition, it's hardly a surprise that the teenager has struggled for minutes, but it is slightly perplexing that he has been excluded.
A recall in January, if nothing improves, seems the most likely outcome, as bitter rivals Cardiff City should look to take advantage of the situation by offering the youngster an escape route with the opportunity to remain in Wales.
The Bluebirds are playing some excellent football under head coach Brian Barry-Murphy, and don't look at all out of place in the Championship. But the Irish head coach should be looking to the January window to add some more firepower to his ranks to avoid the threat of being dragged into a relegation battle.
Capable of playing anywhere across the final third but best off the left, Monga would provide excellent competition for the likes of Chris Willock and Rubin Colwill, providing Barry-Murphy with some much-needed energy and dynamism from the wide areas.
Monga would immediately improve the strength and depth of the Bluebirds' side, and with the opportunity to get one over their Welsh rivals, this is one Cardiff simply must consider.

Barry-Murphy is no stranger to Monga, having worked with the teenager during their time together with Leicester City, and will be well aware of his strengths and weaknesses.
Having also previously coached at Man City, it would be no surprise to see the Irishman use these connections to his benefit and strike a deal which would see Monga head to the Welsh capital in the winter.
With few obvious downsides and many upsides, Barry-Murphy has the chance to get one over on Swansea this January, and must strike whilst he can for Cardiff.
