Week 7 NFL Power Rankings: 49ers, Chiefs remain atop the league

We're six weeks into the NFL season, and many teams are one-third of the way through. Only three teams remain undefeated, and two teams are still winless.

All four teams in both the NFC North and the AFC North still hold winning records, while the NFC East and NFC South look like the league's worst divisions, and overall, the AFC looks like the stronger conference.

This week, the top two teams in our Power Rankings held strong, but plenty of movement occurred below as the NFL continues to work itself out. Let's take a look at this week's NFL Power Rankings.

The 49ers kept winning this week, defeating the Commanders by six. That shouldn't be overlooked, as it seems tough to win this year, with the league looking more parity-driven than ever. San Francisco currently leads the league with a 6-0 record.

The Chiefs returned from their bye week still looking strong, but it's hard to give them much credit for a win over a winless Chargers team. Still, they're one of three undefeated teams remaining in the league, and Kenneth Walker III continues to look like an MVP candidate.

The Vikings were off this week, but they've still jumped into the Top 5 this week due to so many other teams toward the top of our rankings taking losses. They're still one of three remaining undefeated teams in the league, but how long that continues in what looks like the strongest division in the NFC is hard to tell.

The Broncos beat the defending Super Bowl champions Thursday night, marking their second straight win since falling to the 49ers. Their only other loss was to the Chiefs, so based on our power rankings, the Broncos are still the third-best team in the league. For now, they've re-entered the Top 5 at No. 5.
