Prema Rawat created history by slamming the fastest recorded fifty in women's T20s, hitting 50 off 14 in the Senior Women’s T20 Trophy.
Rawat came out to bat at four for Uttarakhand and smashed a quickfire half-century, featuring six fours and four sixes, at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Gahunje, Pune. With the knock, she broke Marie Kelly, Laura Harris, and Fatima Sana's joint record of 15 balls.

Notably, Harris has smashed a 15-ball fifty twice - once in December 2025 for Otago in the Super Smash and then again in July 2026 for Surrey in the T20 Blast. Kelly showcased her heroics for Warwickshire in 2022 in the T20 Blast while Fatima Sana did so in a T20 International game against Zimbabwe earlier this year.

Rawat’s blitz, coupled with skipper and opener Raghvi Bist’s unbeaten 72 off 50, with five fours and four sixes, helped Uttarakand plunder 187-2 in their 20 overs. Rawat notably came on to bat with only 17 deliveries left in the innings before propelling her state side to a commanding total.
The 24-year-old, originally a leg-spinner, then spun a web around Hyderabad batters to return with figures of 2-12 from her four overs. A collective bowling effort from Uttarakhand helped them restrict Hyderabad to just 98-8 and win by a staggering 89 runs.
Rawat has played seven T20Is for India and picked up seven wickets at 18.85 and an economy rate of 5.73.
