Before signing with WWE, Elayna Black, known by her real name Brianna Coda, competed in several matches on AEW Dark in 2020. She is currently signed to TNA Wrestling, where she competes in the Knockouts division. In the latest edition of Fightful Select Answers Q&A, Sean Ross Sapp was asked about the possibility of Black returning to AEW.

Sapp mentioned that Black expressed her openness to joining AEW last year before she ultimately signed with TNA. However, he noted that he hadn't heard of any discussions between her and AEW following her release from WWE and her signing with TNA. While there were claims that she skipped extra work in AEW to attend a WWE tryout, Sapp stated that a source within AEW confirmed there was no issue related to that situation.

For now, Black continues to compete in TNA Wrestling. She recently participated in the iMPACT TV tapings in Dothan, Alabama, earlier this month and also took part in the Call Your Shot Gauntlet at TNA Bound For Glory 2026.
