Cameroon national team head coach David Pagou has named a 28-player squad for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matches against Namibia, featuring four goalkeepers, ten defenders, ten midfielders, and four forwards.
The Indomitable Lions are scheduled to face Namibia on November 12 at Japoma Stadium before traveling to Windhoek for the return fixture in the third and fourth rounds of the qualifiers for the tournament in Morocco.
Pagou’s roster includes three players from the domestic league. Alongside Édouard Sombang, the squad features Eyango Priso, an alternate winger with Colombe Sportive du Dja et Lobo. Priso earned his selection following strong performances in the CAF Champions League preliminaries, including a goal against Teungueth FC at Léopold Sédar Senghor Stadium in Dakar.
The selection also includes goalkeeper recalls from Colombe Sportive, who was part of the squad during the tournament in Morocco. The domestic contingent will compete alongside established international names as competition for places intensifies ahead of the fixtures.
Among the uncapped or newly integrated players in the 28-man squad are Patrick Nkoa Amougou of RAAL La Louvière, Ivan Nana of Al Hilal, Geovanni Vianney of Copenhagen, Eyango Priso, and Karl Wassom of Riga FC.
Ivan Nana, captain of the Cameroon under-20 team, enters the senior setup following a strong campaign at the UNIFFAC tournament, where he led the side to a victory over the Central African Republic.
Cameroon hosts Namibia at Japoma Stadium on November 12 before departing for Windhoek for the fourth-round match.
