Heart of Lions assistant coach Daniel Nii Adjei has applauded his players after their hard-fought 2-1 victory over Bechem United in the Ghana Premier League over the weekend.

The win at the Kpando Sports Stadium ended the team’s three-game losing streak and has pushed them four places above the relegation zone.

Speaking in a post-match interview, Daniel Nii Adjei acknowledged the difficulty of the contest and congratulated his players for fighting to secure all three points.

“It wasn’t an easy game. We know Bechem United, and anytime they come here, they give us a tough match, but in the end we were able to win. So, I will say congratulations to the team, and to the coaches who took over when I wasn’t around.

“For the players, I want to tell them that they have done well. It’s a good win for us because we needed the confidence booster to prepare for our next match against Hearts of Oak,” Nii Adjei said.

The next league match against Hearts of Oak will be played on Sunday, November 8, and is scheduled to kick off at 3 pm at the University of Ghana Stadium.
