Ghanaian forward Mohammed Fuseini played a key role as Derby County came from behind to secure a thrilling 3-1 victory over Bolton Wanderers in the English Championship at Pride Park Stadium.
Derby found themselves trailing late in the first half after Bolton took the lead in the 42nd minute. Rúben Rodrigues finished off Gaizka Larrazabal’s cross to give the visitors a 1-0 advantage heading into the interval.
The Rams responded brilliantly after the restart, with Fuseini immediately making his presence felt in the attacking third. Just 43 seconds into the second half, the Ghanaian forward helped create the opening for Derby’s equaliser, which was finished by Ryan Nyambe from close range.
The momentum quickly shifted in Derby’s favour as they completed the turnaround only three minutes later. Jack Robinson rose highest to head home Carlton Morris’ delivery, putting the hosts 2-1 ahead.
Fuseini continued to threaten Bolton’s defence and came close to adding his name to the scoresheet in the 53rd minute, but his effort was denied by goalkeeper Jack Bonham.
The Ghanaian remained a constant attacking outlet before being replaced in the 90th minute as Derby looked to secure all three points.
Rhian Brewster eventually sealed the victory in stoppage time, adding a third goal to complete an impressive comeback for the Rams.
The assist was Fuseini’s second of the season in 10 Championship appearances, with the forward also contributing one goal as he continues to make an impact in Derby County’s attacking setup.
