Ghanaian forward James Ampofo was on target as Esbjerg fB secured a narrow 1-0 away victory over Hobro in the Danish First Division.
Ampofo scored the decisive goal in the 25th minute, handing Esbjerg an important lead at DS Arena.
The forward rose highest inside the penalty area to head home a delivery from Adam Ahmad, giving the visitors the advantage after a competitive opening period.
Esbjerg carried their slender lead into the half-time break and remained organised after the restart as Hobro searched for an equaliser.
The hosts pushed forward in the second half and created opportunities to get back into the contest, but Esbjerg's defence stood firm to preserve their advantage.
Ampofo was booked in the 83rd minute as the visitors held on to claim all three points and record an important win on the road.
The victory leaves Esbjerg 10th in the Danish First Division standings with 14 points from 14 matches.
The Ghanaian forward has now scored five goals and provided one assist in nine appearances for the club this season.
Esbjerg will look to build on the result when they host AB on November 21.
