Police Ladies delivered a commanding 4-0 victory over Immigration Ladies in an all-service derby at the Alajo Astro Turf.

Sophia Mabena Agyaakwa opened the scoring in the second minute before Fidous Yakubu extended Police Ladies' advantage in the 30th minute. Yakubu struck again shortly after the restart in the 46th minute to put the former champions firmly in control.

Beatrice Tsifokor completed the rout in the 68th minute, sealing an emphatic victory for the hosts. Immigration Ladies struggled to match the intensity of their opponents as Police Ladies produced a dominant display to claim all three points.

The victory sends Police Ladies to the top of the Southern Zone standings with six points.

Elsewhere, Epiphany Warriors fought back from a goal down to earn a 1-1 draw against Army Ladies in an entertaining Matchday 2 encounter at the Madina Astro Turf.

The game kicked off at a high tempo with both sides looking to stamp their authority early. After a cagey opening 10 minutes, the physicality increased. Just before the break, Army Ladies found the breakthrough in the 42nd minute when striker Harriet Adjetey opened the scoring to give the visitors a crucial 1-0 lead.

In the 70th minute, both sides made changes. Sandra Adams made way for Ellen Asonko for Army Ladies, while Leticia Adjei came off for Benedict Amponsah for Epiphany. The substitutions paid off for the home side. In the 79th minute, Janet Amewudo made amends for her earlier booking by scoring the equaliser to make it 1-1 for Epiphany Warriors.

Meanwhile, Ladystrikers left it late to pick up maximum points at home against Rootz Sistaz. It was end-to-end stuff from the first whistle as both sides looked for an opener. Ladystrikers enjoyed more of the possession and probed for an early goal, but Rootz Sistaz remained compact at the back and difficult to break down. The game turned in the 70th minute. A handball in the box gifted Rootz Sistaz a golden opportunity to take the lead. Charity Bellingham stepped up, but the ball sailed over the bar.

Just when it looked like the spoils would be shared, Ladystrikers struck in added time. A well-worked corner kick caused panic in the Rootz Sistaz box. The visitors failed to clear their lines, and Betsheba Nyarko was on hand to power a bullet header into the net in the 91st minute (90+1) to send the home fans into chants of joy.

Ladystrikers saw out the remaining seconds to secure a hard-fought, well-deserved victory.
