Barcelona have scored 60 goals in their first 15 official matches of the 2026-27 season, a four-goals-per-game average that the club’s own records show has not been reached in the opening 15 games of a season for a century, Kompas.com reported. The milestone came with a 3-0 Champions League victory over Aston Villa at Camp Nou, which lifted the tally to 60 goals by early November.
The previous benchmark dates to the 1926-27 campaign, when Barcelona scored 82 goals in 22 official matches — 14 in the Campionat de Catalunya and eight in the Campeonato de España — for an average of 3.727 goals per game. The two eras are not directly comparable: Barcelona did not play their 15th official match of that season until March 7, and the 2-3-5 formation was still dominant, with defensive tactics far less developed than in the modern game. Lopsided scorelines, including double-digit wins, were common — Barcelona beat FC Gracia 10-2, Terrassa 9-0 and Sabadell 7-0 that season, all in official matches.
Much of the production is concentrated in two players. Raphinha and Lamine Yamal have combined for 46 direct goal contributions — 32 goals and 14 assists — according to figures compiled by Bola.com, ahead of Bayern Munich’s Harry Kane and Michael Olise (38) and Real Madrid’s Kylian Mbappé and Diomande (26). A different sample of 14 matches (11 in La Liga, three in the Champions League) puts the pair at 29 goals and 14 assists, or 43 goal contributions; Raphinha had 17 goals and three assists in 12 games, while Yamal scored 12 and assisted 11 in 14.
The two outlets’ figures differ because they count different match windows, but both agree on the scale of the duo’s influence. In La Liga, Raphinha leads the scoring charts with 15 goals and Yamal leads the assist charts with seven, plus 10 goals of his own; together they account for 25 of Barcelona’s 46 league goals — more than half — according to the cited figures. Yamal has also created 48 scoring chances, double Raphinha’s 24, per the Stats platform cited by Goal.com, while Raphinha contributes pressing and off-the-ball movement that multiplies the team’s attacking options.
| Club | Duo | Goals | Assists | Goal contributions |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Barcelona | Raphinha & Lamine Yamal | 29 | 14 | 43 |
| Bayern Munich | Harry Kane & Michael Olise | 16 | 12 | 28 |
| Manchester City | Erling Haaland & Rayan Cherki | 18 | — | — |
| Real Madrid | Kylian Mbappé & Arda Guler | 18 | — | — |
| Paris Saint-Germain | Ferran Torres & Ousmane Dembélé | 11 | — | — |
Outside the big five, Club Brugge’s Tresoldi and Hugo Vetlesen (18 goals combined) and Sporting Lisbon’s Luis Suárez and Geny Catamo (14) do not approach the Barcelona pair’s output.
The 60-in-15 figure reflects a run of heavy victories. Bola reported that Barcelona have scored at least five goals in five matches this season, with additional wins of 6-1 and 7-2 among the results. The 3-0 win over Aston Villa, in which Raphinha and Yamal stood out, brought Barcelona to 60 goals in their first 15 official matches, the first time the club’s main team has reached that mark in a century.
Still, the single-season scoring record is a different matter. Barcelona’s all-time official-season high remains the 190 goals scored in 2011-12, and Bola noted that the current 60-in-15 pace, while historic for an opening 15 games, sits below the totals of the 2011-12 and 2014-15 campaigns over a full season. The previous season’s full-season figures were 144 goals in 57 official matches (2.526 per game), and the 175 goals in 60 matches recorded in an earlier period averaged 2.917 per game.
What has not been answered is whether the rate holds. Four goals per game across 15 matches is a start-of-season figure, and the sources note that full-season records are measured over 57 to 60 matches, where Barcelona’s historical averages have been lower. The 2011-12 record of 190 goals in a season still stands, and no source in this reporting establishes whether the current side can sustain its early pace deep into the campaign.
