Young Apostles suffered their second home defeat of the campaign after losing to an in-form Swedru All Blacks side at the Wenchi Stadium on Sunday.

After an evenly contested first half ended goalless, the visitors returned from the break with greater intent, and William Dankwah broke the deadlock in the 55th minute.

Godfred Yartey doubled All Blacks’ advantage in the 82nd minute to put the visitors in control, although Young Apostles pulled one back in the 89th minute.

However, the late goal proved insufficient as the Black Magicians held on to secure all three points.

The victory extends All Blacks’ winning run to three matches and lifts them to fifth place in the league standings with 14 points.

The Black Magicians will aim to maintain their momentum when they host FC Ashantigold in their next fixture.

Young Apostles, meanwhile, have slipped into the relegation zone following the defeat and will be eager to get their campaign back on track when they host Karela United next.
