Women’s Premier League Northern Zone results

Tamale Super Ladies and Prisons Ladies shared the points after playing out a 1-1 draw in their Ghana Women’s Premier League encounter at the Yendi Youth Resource Centre.

Both teams started on the front foot, looking to take control of the game early. Prisons Ladies applied pressure and created promising opportunities, but Tamale Super Ladies remained organised at the back to keep the visitors at bay.

The hosts eventually took the lead in the second half when Rahama Azimpaga Mohammed found the net in the 57th minute following a well-worked attacking move.

Prisons Ladies pushed forward in search of an equaliser and were rewarded deep into stoppage time. Abigail Tutuwa converted a penalty in the 90+3rd minute to rescue a point for the visitors.

Meanwhile, Supreme Ladies marked their return to the 2026/27 Ghana Women’s Premier League with a goalless draw against FC Savannah at the Bantama Astro Turf.

The two sides battled for a winner but struggled to find a way past each other’s defence, leaving the match to end 0-0. Despite the lack of goals, Supreme Ladies goalkeeper Akousa Safoaa stood out with an impressive performance and was named MVP.

Fosu Royal Ladies, on the other hand, secured a late 1-0 victory over Ashanti Ladies to claim all three points.

The teams were evenly matched in the first half, with both defences limiting the chances created. Fosu Royal Ladies stepped up their pressure after the break and eventually found the breakthrough in the 90th minute through Safiatu Mahamud, whose late goal sealed the win for the home side.
