Morocco take on Egypt in the semi-finals of the 2026 Africa Cup of Nations Futsal in Rabat on Monday, with a place in the final at stake.
The match brings together the tournament’s two most successful nations, each having won the competition three times. Morocco are also the defending champions and hosts, while Egypt are seeking a return to the final after their previous successes.
The semi-final will be played at the Moulay-Abdellah Hall in Rabat on Monday, 19 October 2026. Kick-off is scheduled for 20:00 local time in Morocco and Algeria, 19:00 GMT, 21:00 in France and 22:00 in Egypt.
The other last-four tie sees Algeria meet Angola at the same venue, starting at 17:00. Algeria have reached the semi-finals for the first time in their history.
According to the tournament schedule, the two semi-final winners will contest the final at 20:00 on Wednesday, 21 October. The losing teams will meet for third place at 17:00 on the same day.
The match will be shown in Morocco on public sports channel Arryadia. It will also be available to watch for free internationally through CAF TV, the official YouTube channel of the Confederation of African Football.
The CAF has confirmed that all 16 matches at the tournament will be streamed to an international audience. Coverage of Morocco v Egypt is also scheduled on beIN Sports 5 and Egypt’s ON Sport HD.
Morocco go into the tie as favourites after a flawless group-stage campaign. Hicham Dguig’s side finished top of Group A by winning all three of their matches, beating Algeria 4-0, Zambia 7-0 and Libya 6-0.
The Atlas Lions have scored 17 goals without conceding since the start of the competition. They secured their place in the semi-finals after only two matches, following their emphatic victory over Zambia.
Egypt’s route through Group B was less straightforward. They opened with wins against Tanzania and Mozambique, but were denied top spot after losing 4-2 to Angola. The Pharaons had taken a 2-0 lead in that match before Angola completed the comeback.
Despite that defeat, Egypt remain one of the established powers of African futsal. They won the Africa Cup of Nations Futsal in 1996, 2000 and 2004.
Morocco claimed the title in the three most recent editions, in 2016, 2020 and 2024. They will therefore attempt to extend their dominance by winning a fourth successive trophy.
